Time Warner Cable uses multiple suppliers for its cable boxes including Scientific Atlanta. Usually, the installer will set up the cable box when installing the cable. You may want to add optional equipment later, however, such as a home theater receiver. If you do, you will need to set the box up again. Setting up the box involves making wiring connections.
Have the remote code to control Time Warner. The cable box is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 HDC. An option during setup to enter the model of the cable box, and I didn't see anything in the manual. Coincidentally my old cable box just died so I had Time Warner replace it. Make sure ventilation holes on the box aren't blocked by additional equipment. For example, don't place a home theater receiver on top of the box.
Step 2
Turn the television and Scientific Atlanta box off at the 'Power' switches and swing the box around so you can see the back. The cable input from the wall will be screwed into the 'Cable In' jack. Leave it there.
Step 3
Connect the box to the new equipment by removing the cables on the box that lead to the television. They are likely in jacks labeled 'Audio Out,' 'Video Out' or similarly labeled jacks. Connect the 'Video Out' on the box to the 'Video In' on the home theater and do the same with the audio. Use the red, white and yellow AV Composite cables. They will be color-coded.

Thanks in advance for any help with my problem.
I have a brand new Panasonic 50PZ700U and have Time Warner's 4250 HDC STB. For whatever reason, the HDMI signal keeps going out and T-W's only solution is connecting with Component cables, which although works fine, is not what I wanted to do. When the HDMI cable is hooked up to the TV and the box is re-booted, all I get is a blank screen. I have taken 2 boxes back thinking that it is a bad box, and I have also replaced the HDMI cord (actually Circuit City replaced at no charge after the T-W told me it had to be the HDMI cord, since everything else on box checks out
Wwe rock theme song download free. Any suggestions on why I might be getting only a blank screen when hooked up to HDMI? It worked when we first had it installed, but nothing now.
Thanks again for any help.
